Use Twitter to increase site traffic - useful skills and tools

At the end of last year, I read a blog article that introduces Twitter and several tools. I loved the idea and registered an account and started to use it. First few days, I did not know how to use it and how to get more followers. My idea was to use Twitter to attract more people to visit my website. First of all, I need more followers. Actually I setup three accounts at Twitter: one for personal use, one for sunfinedata.com, and the last one for prompting usbargains.net. I put a lot of efforts on usbargains account. I started to follow people on Twitter. Everyday I tried to follow a different set of people on Twitter. Some people would follow me back. Gradually the number of followers of usbargains account increased. After 20 days the account was open, usbargains had 2000 followers. That was not bad. I learned this skills and continuously practiced day by day. Today is Feb 19, 2009; now usbargains account has 10,000+ followers. I am pleased that this account can obtain so many followers on Twitter. In consequence, my site traffic increased steadily in the last 50 days. Daily traffic increase almost 10 folds. This is really good achievement. I will continue to practice this strategy to gain more followers. If you are looking for increasing your followers, please practice this simple strategy persistently. You will be surprised to see its real effects on your web site traffic.
